Louise is having a hard time after her dog Charlie passes away. “Nothing will be the same,” says Louise as she goes to visit a little island that Charlie loved. But while she’s on the island, she has a strange encounter—she meets a bear. At first she’s scared, but then after a little time, Louise realizes that the bear is also sad.
Louise comes back to visit again and again, and as she visits she learns that coming to terms with loss takes time. Just as she’s starting to feel a little better, it’s time for the bear to bed down for the winter. Louise again feels like nothing will be the same, but change isn’t always tough... spring is coming!
A great way to help kids through death and loss, this book will bring anyone a little comfort. For ages 5 and up!
